The following is an illustration by Sophia Louize - she does great animation, sculptures, and other visual art:

Sophia has a gallery up at Casa Que Pasa right now that's definitely worth checking out. All of the works in the gallery are paint on wood - the theme of the projects are the death of birds. You can find them in the cantina/bar area in the back. Sophia offers truly emotionally engaging and intriguing art.

If you can't get downtown, you check out her portfolio @ http://www.sophialouize.com/

Duke Aymon (previously Romulattis) released a four-track EP called "The Road From Desolate" about a month ago that absolutely kills it. The CD offers well produced dance tunes with smooth vocals and a nice violin feature on "Out To Sea" by Adam Work. Overall, this is a well rounded and impressive first album for Duke Aymon. I've had the pleasure of watching Lukas progress further and further into EDM production and "The Road From Desolate" really impressed me personally.

I'm sure many of you have seen this, but the following is an album that Mac Sinclair and I recorded this spring. All of the beats are original ones from the local homies except for "CACTUS", which is a beat from The Alchemist's "Rappers Best Friend" beat tape. I produced two of the beats on this; "DYNASTY" and "SOBER", and mastered the whole project with Mac. Enjoy:

Welcome!

I apologize in advance for the length of this mission statement, but people don't understand this project unless I make its purpose explicitly clear.

My name is Adam Perkowski. I am an individual attempting to foster the development of a thriving community of artistic, motivated, and thoughtful people in Bellingham, Washington.

I started playing guitar when I was about 6, and released my first multitracked acoustic cover when I was 13. I've been making music since; lots of covers with miscellaneous originals here and there.

I started the To Pacify Maniacs project with a vision of an open collective for young artists. I wanted people to know that I was looking to work with everyone and anyone that was motivated to create indie / acoustic / electronica jams. I did a lot of solo tracks, and a handful of collabs with various vocalists. TPM was also a real band for a little bit, but we've recently gone in different directions.

I chose to use the band breakup as a way to reinvigorate this project - so here is my proposal.

I have a 10 year old Nikon D70 DSLR camera and a home studio with condenser microphones, 4 guitars (two regular, two bass - an acoustic and an electric of each), midi controllers, percussions, a keyboard, and a computer that runs Ableton 9.1, Cubase 5, and Photoshop CS3.

I want to do everything I can to help YOU create things and connect with other people that create things here in Bellingham. I do graphic design, photography, and audio production. I make Facebook pages and posters for events, and I promote local artists on the To Pacify Maniacs Facebook page and blogspot every day. If you want to see yourself in the feed, feel free to submit any and all art to me at adamperkowskimusic@gmail.com! Scans of paintings or drawings, photos, videos, songs, stories, or anything else you can think of! You can also email me or hit me up on Facebook for any collab - related inquiries.

There is also a To Pacify Maniacs Google Account which is only used for Google Drive as a resource for artists:

My hope is that this blog can be a place where Bellingham artists can go to find other artists to collaborate with in their town, and where Bellingham art lovers can go to see what kinds of amazing things their neighbors are creating. I want to see musicians discovering visual artists here to do their album arts, and videographers finding musicians who are willing to have one of their tracks in an edit. I'd like to have a community contributing samples, photos, video throwaways, and any miscellaneous digital scraps or masterpieces to the TPM Google Drive archive so that one day any of those files may find their way into another work.

Its a dream inspired by the amazing artists in our town, and it has been created for the benefit of the amazing artists in our town, people who love art, and the community as a whole.

I would love to hear from you - hit me up.
